Only Used IBM Computers For Us
For twenty years now, our office has only bought used ibm computers when it seems that one is going down. I guess that because of it, we have been able to save a lot of money since we do not run out and purchase the newest computers on the market. Every single used ibm computer that we have bought lasts somewhere between five and six years. That is really pretty good since we have three different people that use them every day.
When our server went down last year, we even bought a used iseries server to replace it. We have not had to call the repair man even once all year. Most big companies would run out and just order a brand new one but not this smart company. We have learned that by buying used, you can save thousands.
Every person was given a raise every year for the past twenty years also; I contribute that to good employees and savings. If we had not bought used ibm computers or a used iseries server, then I would bet that this company could not afford to do that.
So, twenty years of being a smart company has paid off for the owners and the employees, I wonder how many other companies can say that.
